VIP-Energy 1.0 is released |

VIP+ is now disappearing from the market and is replaced with VIP-Energy.
The name change symbolizes the change to an international environment with new functions that takes the software toward new application areas.
The release is major and contains new functions and bug fixes.
The program is available under downloads for registered users.
New Functions
Alongside the older model for describing operation times there is a new type of dialog.
This new dialog is more flexible and easier. There is a set of data for each day of the week and the data can be copied between the days or weeks. Other time is a term that includes all unspecified time for a calculation.
The old and the new dialog can function side by side.
Time that was earlier stated in days of the week and start time – end time, will be stated with week number and start time – end time when transferring an old file in to the new dialog for the first time.
Operation year can be chosen which means that the calculation starts with the day of the week that is the first one for the year in question.
Climate files is completed with wind direction. Form factors are then stated in relation to the angle of incidence towards the surface instead of for the relation to the orientation of the surface.
Wind reduction can be given for 8 sectors instead of using a more general value. The user can also lock a given wind direction.
Input data for zone calculation can be completed so that air flows can partly be taken from other zones. The check box is replaced with an input data dialog for stating the percentage; 50% is taken from the other zone and the rest from outdoor air at 50%. This means that the temperature too can be mixed from various zones.
The ventilation dialogs have been provided with a system similar to that of operation cases. There is a separate dialog for describing control cases at time regulated ventilation time. The control cases include minimum allowed supply air temperature, maximum allowed exhaust air temperature, Recovery, recirculated air and flow reduction. All parameters can be regulated through the outdoor temperature from two interpolated points of adjustment.
The user can in the control case dialog at zone calculations choose whether the outdoor air is to be retrieved as a mixture of air from other zones or as outdoor air alone.
In VIP-Energy cooling recovery is individual for each control case.
Temperature regulated ventilation such as night cooling and VAV-cooling can be exported to a separate dialog.
Cooling for building services engineering has been completed with input data for maximum cooling effect.
Key values now also show the difference between simulated room temperature and the demanded temperature. The values show if the calculation was made with maximum heating effect or with maximum cooling effect.
Input data can be imported from Archicad. The Archicad EcoDesigner exports an xml-file that can be read in VIP-Energy.
The Print Manager has been updated. The printouts can be saved directly as PDF-files or be saved to the Open Office word processor.
Graphical displays now also have a time diagram for room temperature and a diagram for the mean temperature for the structure.
Results for zone calculation have been updated; e.g.: the zones are now given numbers from 1 to 20. Each zone number is connected to an input data file.
